Nurturing Connections through CPRT:
A Virtual Caregiver Coaching Group

Groups are forming now! Our first group will meet *virtually* on Fridays, 12 - 2 PM
September 26 - December 12, 2025 (please note: the group does not meet on 10/24/25)

Led by licensed clinical social workers and play therapists, this supportive and empowering parent coaching group is grounded in the principles of Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)—a proven, evidence-based approach designed to enhance the caregiver-child connection through play, empathy, and emotional attunement.

  • This group is designed for parents who want to:

—Build a stronger, more secure relationship with their child
—Improve their child’s behavior and emotional regulation
—Feel more confident and effective in their parenting role
—Learn therapeutic play skills to use at home

  • No prior experience in therapy or play is needed—just a willingness to connect and learn!

Whether you’re parenting a child struggling with anxiety, defiance, trauma, or simply want to deepen your bond, this group offers a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for growth among other parents and caregivers who get it!

Parent coaching group scholarships are available with generous grant support from the Vermont Early Childhood Fund administered by Building Bright Futures.

  • Through weekly sessions, parents will be guided by trained facilitators to:

—Understand their child’s emotional needs and behaviors
—Learn skills to promote connection, trust, and open communication
—Practice special play sessions that encourage emotional expression and build self-esteem
—Receive group support from other parents on a similar journey
